How Online Tuition Works
Online tuition works really well for Maths. The student and I both log on to a shared whiteboard, where we can look at worksheets that I have uploaded. We can talk about them, either using the site audio, or via Skype. I can write on the worksheet to reveal the solution to the question, or I can bring up a new, blank page, if I need to explain something. The student can write on the worksheet too, using a graphics tablet, although many are happy to leave the writing to me and just talk through their solution. I have built up a large library of worksheets and have access to a database of past exam questions, so there is always plenty of material for us to work on. Here are a couple of screenshots to show what the online classroom looks like. (This is a Webex meeting, but others look very similar) | |
